The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has halted an international operation selling clarity enhanced diamonds over the internet using counterfeit GIA Diamond Grading Reports to falsify the quality of diamonds sold. The Gemological Institute of America does not grade clarity enhanced diamonds as a policy. No jeweller would ever buy a diamond without seeing the stone first. Buying a diamond solely on the contents of a certificate would be like picking your lady by measurements alone.
